Baku: The 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), hosted in Baku, has become a focal point for Turkish media outlets, including news agencies, television broadcasters, print media, and online platforms.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, several Turkish television channels broadcast the opening ceremony of WUF13 live on May 18. The live broadcast reached a large audience, underscoring the significance of the event attended by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. The coverage prominently featured excerpts from President Aliyev's remarks, focusing on Azerbaijan's rapid progress in urban development, the reconstruction of Garabagh and East Zangezur, and the 'Great Return' program.
Turkish media also extensively reported on the visit of a delegation led by Murat Kurum, Trkiye's Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change. A significant highlight of this visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on technical cooperation in energy efficiency in buildings between Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy and Trkiye's Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change.
