ANKARA: Trkiye’s Minister of Industry and Technology, Mehmet Kacir, has expressed optimism regarding the outcomes of the upcoming meetings of the Organization of the Turkic States (OTS), while pledging continued support for the development of the organization. The comments were made during the 1st Meeting of Ministers in Charge of Science, Technology, Industry, and Innovation of the OTS.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Minister Kacir stated that he anticipates positive results at the second OTS meeting scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan next year. He underscored Trkiye’s commitment to fostering cooperation and unity among member states, emphasizing the significance of the forthcoming COP29 event in Baku, where he extended his best wishes for Azerbaijan’s successful hosting.
Minister Kacir highlighted Trkiye’s progress in the industrial and technological sectors, noting a substantial increase in the number of industrial zones within the country, which have grown from 192 to 361. He emphasized Trkiye’s
position as a leading exporter to various countries, from China to Europe, and expressed the nation’s intent to share its achievements and innovations with OTS member countries while learning from their experiences.
