Turkish Parliamentary Delegation Applauds Azerbaijan Election Transparency

ANKARA - "We were invited to observe these elections with a team of 13 people," Samil Ayrim, the head of the observation mission of the Turkish Parliament, the head of the Trkiye Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), stated at a press conference organized in connection with the extraordinary parliamentary elections held in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the delegation visited several polling stations in Sumgait where they observed the voting process. "The election in Azerbaijan was held with the provision of all democratic legal and freedoms," he emphasized. He noted that this was the fifth election he observed in Azerbaijan: "The election was very transparent and democratic. People exercised their right to vote in civil conditions. This election was also important because more than 40,000 citizens of Garabagh participated in the voting process."
