TRABZON – Joint patrols by Turkish and Russian military forces along the northern border of Syria have resumed, marking a significant step in bilateral military cooperation in the region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the patrols restarted in the ‘Peace Spring’ operation area between Trkiye and Russia after a suspension that began on October 5, 2023, due to security concerns. “The Joint Patrol service, which was conducted in the ‘Peace Spring’ operation area between Trkiye and Russia and was suspended on October 5, 2023, due to security reasons, has been resumed today,” the Ministry announced. The patrols involved eight military vehicles from both nations and took place along the Al-Darbasiyah route in the countryside of Al-Hasakah. However, official confirmation from either side regarding the resumption of these patrols has not yet been provided.
