Baku: The opening of the Zangezur Corridor is set to significantly enhance the competitiveness of the Middle Corridor, according to Cevdet Yilmaz, Turkish Vice President. Speaking at the 2nd Azerbaijan-Trkiye Investment Forum in Baku, Yilmaz emphasized Azerbaijan's pivotal role as a key link within this strategic transit route.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Yilmaz pointed out that the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor has grown, particularly following the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He highlighted that Azerbaijan's involvement is becoming increasingly strategic, given its integral position within the corridor.

Yilmaz also addressed Azerbaijan's expanding role on both regional and global stages. He noted that Turkey is closely monitoring Azerbaijan's ongoing transformation processes in the energy sector, which are crucial for the corridor's development and broader regional stability.
