Istanbul: Veteran Turkish actor Necdet K¶kes, known for his role as 'Zipzip' in the 'Battal Gazi' films during the Yesil§am era, has passed away at the age of 82. The actor, who had recently undergone a tracheostomy operation to address lung problems, died today.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Necdet K¶kes was born in Adana in 1944 and began his film career with the 1970 movie 'Btn Asklar Tatli Baslar.' Over his career, K¶kes appeared in around 100 films and gained recognition for his portrayal of 'Zipzip' in the 'Battal Gazi' series, where he starred alongside Cneyt Arkin.

In addition to his iconic role in the 'Battal Gazi' films, K¶kes also appeared in other notable films such as 'Deli Dumrul,' 'Saban Askerde,' 'Hakanlar ‡arpisiyor,' 'Leblebi Tozu,' and 'Avrupali.' His contributions to Turkish cinema have left a lasting impact, particularly in the Yesil§am era, a significant period in the history of Turkish filmmaking.
