This strategic move aims to bolster connectivity and infrastructure development between Central Asia and Europe. According to Trend News Agency, the discussions took place during an official visit by the EU delegation, led by Commissioner for International Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen, to Ashgabat. The delegation met with Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and later held talks with Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov. Both sides emphasized their commitment to strengthening the bilateral partnership and explored avenues to enhance regional transport links. The establishment of the coordination platform is ex pected to facilitate smoother transport operations and increase trade efficiency through the Middle Corridor. This initiative marks a significant step towards deepening the EU-Central Asia relations and expanding economic opportunities across the regions.
