Astana: As part of his official visit to Kazakhstan, Ambassador Ramil Hasan, the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TURKPA), met with Prof. Shahin Mustafayev, the President of the Turkic Academy. The meeting focused on evaluating the current state and future prospects of the relationship between TURKPA and the Turkic Academy.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions during the meeting covered a range of topics, including legislative frameworks, parliamentary diplomacy, and inter-parliamentary cooperation. The activities of the Turkic Academy in science, education, research, and archaeological excavations were also addressed. Both parties acknowledged the Academy's achievements in these fields.

The meeting further concentrated on cooperative efforts in areas such as common Turkic history, alphabet, geography, and literature. The leaders of both organizations stressed the significance of strengthening cooperation to enable tangible steps by 2026, aligning with the strategic interests of the Turkic world.

Coordinators from both TURKPA and the Turkic Academy were appointed to ensure the facilitation of bilateral relations. The meeting highlighted that these coordinators would play a crucial role in advancing the collaboration to a new stage.

Participants from the Turkic Academy included Vice President Blent Bayram, Expert Dinmuhammed Ametbek, and Expert Aynur Mayemerova. Ambassador Hasan was accompanied by Deputy Secretary General Talgat Aduov and Chief of Protocol Yadigar Mammadov.
