Goranboy: Two people were killed and three others injured in a traffic accident in the Goranboy district. The incident took place on the Baku-Gazakh highway, where a ‘Hyundai’ passenger car veered off the road and overturned after the driver lost control.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the vehicle was driven by 65-year-old Nasiba Nagiyeva, a resident of Bayan village in the Dashkasan district. Nagiyeva and her 6-year-old grandson, F. Mammadli, tragically died at the scene of the accident.

The driver’s daughter, 34-year-old Ayshe Mammadli, sustained minor injuries. Two other passengers, Nagiyeva’s grandchildren, 8-year-old A. Mammadli and 3-year-old A. Mammadli, were seriously injured and have been taken to Yevlakh District Hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
