Baku: The U.S. Department of State has reiterated its commitment to collaborate with the Azerbaijani government on the priority areas identified in the Strategic Partnership Charter. These areas include regional connectivity, economic investment, energy, security cooperation, and artificial intelligence (AI).

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the United States and Azerbaijan took a significant step by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on critical minerals during Baku Energy Week in June. This agreement aims to foster cooperation in mining, processing, and geological surveying.

Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs Caleb Orr played a pivotal role by co-chairing the first U.S.-Azerbaijan Economic Dialogue. This dialogue led to the signing of cooperation agreements with the Azerbaijani government and the announcement of commercial deals valued at approximately $8 billion. Additionally, an AI Week in Azerbaijan, led by the Department of State's Bureau of Cyber and Digital Policy, was also announced.
