Baku: A U.S. Embassy delegation, led by Charg© d'Affaires Amy Carlon, visited the Azerbaijan Sports Academy (ASA) to engage with its academic and research community. The visit aimed to explore potential collaborations in the fields of sports medicine and academic research.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the delegation was briefed on the activities of the MediaLab and the Sports Medicine Research Laboratory at ASA. The academy showcased its modern academic and research infrastructure during the visit.
Rector Fuad Hajiyev provided an overview of ASA's history, its academic environment, and international cooperation priorities. He expressed interest in expanding academic relations with U.S. higher education institutions, aiming to build long-term partnerships.
Amy Carlon highlighted the importance of cooperation in science and education, noting that such collaborations foster mutual understanding and strengthen relations between the U.S. and Azerbaijan. The discussions included potential joint projects, student and faculty exchanges, and broader international initiatives.
