Baku: Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), met with a U.S. delegation led by Abraham Hamadeh, Member of the House of Representatives.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the U.S. delegation was briefed on ANAMA's activities concerning the mine problem facing Azerbaijan. The briefing included details on the large-scale humanitarian demining operations currently underway in the region.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for both parties to exchange views on the prospects for cooperation in humanitarian demining. Discussions focused on potential collaborative efforts to address the ongoing challenges posed by landmines in Azerbaijan.
