Nyon: UEFA Deputy Secretary General Giorgio Marchetti has congratulated Azerbaijan's football club Qarabag for successfully booking their spot in the UEFA Champions League play-offs. Speaking at the draw ceremony in Nyon, Switzerland, the UEFA official said the Aghdam Horses had surprised everyone by securing their place in the play-off round.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, thanks to their impressive results in the preceding rounds, Qarabag finished 22nd in the standings with 10 points-enough to become the first club from Azerbaijan to ever reach the Champions League knockout play-offs.
