UN Deputy Secretary-General Praises Azerbaijan’s Reconstruction Efforts

Baku: UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed commended Azerbaijan's efforts in reconstruction and development, highlighting the country's achievements in infrastructure restoration, reintegration, and economic potential. She described these efforts as a model during the closing press conference of the 13th session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13).

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Mohammed pointed out that the world is currently facing several interconnected crises, such as climate change, conflict, inequality, housing insecurity, and rising debt pressures. These challenges hinder the financial capacity of states, making investments in affordable housing, sustainable infrastructure, and basic services difficult. The forum emphasized the importance of multilateral cooperation, multi-level governance, and local action in addressing these global issues.
