UN Forecasts Azerbaijan’s Foreign Trade Surplus to Exceed $16 Billion in 2024


Baku — Azerbaijan’s foreign trade surplus is projected to surpass USD 16 billion in 2024, according to a report from the United Nations on the global economy.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs predicts that Azerbaijan’s exports will reach approximately USD 33.9 billion, while imports are expected to total around USD 17.3 billion, leading to a projected trade surplus of USD 16.62 billion. This forecast aligns closely with the 2023 figures from the State Customs Committee, which reported a foreign trade surplus of USD 16.613 billion, indicating sustained economic growth and a robust export sector in the nation.
