Baku: Anacl¡udia Rossbach, Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme, has extended her gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his active involvement in the preparations for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Rossbach conveyed her appreciation via her X account, acknowledging President Aliyev's engagement in the upcoming international event. She highlighted the significance of Baku's role in drawing global focus to the pressing issues of future urban development, housing, and sustainable urban practices.

Rossbach stated, "Thank you, H.E. President Ilham Aliyev, for following the preparations for WUF13 closely. Next week, Baku will play an important role in bringing global attention to the future of cities, housing, and sustainable urban development."

Preparations for the forum, which centers around the theme 'Housing for All: Safe and Resilient Cities and Human Settlements,' have been under the scrutiny of President Aliyev. The 13th Session of the World Urban Forum is scheduled to take place from May 17-22 at the Baku Olympic Stadium, with President Aliyev having recently reviewed the ongoing work for the event.
