Abu dhabi: Over 2 billion people around the world do not have access to safe drinking water. At the same time, a very large number of people also lack proper sanitation. Anacl¡udia Rossbach, Executive Director of UN-Habitat, highlighted these critical issues during a dialogue session titled 'The Global Housing Crisis: What is the Plan?' This session was part of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Rossbach pointed out the challenges posed by the rapid urbanization process. She noted that the global population is expected to grow by 2050, with two billion people relocating to and within cities, particularly in Asia and Africa. She stressed that half of global development and growth is concentrated in urban areas, marking this as the fastest urbanization process in history.
