UN-Habitat Showcases Over 500 Innovative Housing Practices at WUF13

Baku: More than 500 successful practices in the field of housing are being presented within the framework of WUF13, Anaclaudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), said at the dialogue session titled 'Global Housing Crisis - What's the Plan?' held within the framework of WUF13, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Anaclaudia Rossbach emphasized the importance of integrating practices related to land management, financing, upgrading informal settlements, social housing, and climate-resilient housing models to effectively address the global housing crisis.

Rossbach highlighted that over the past year, more than 500 successful housing practices from various countries have been compiled and are now being showcased on the 'Practices Hub' platform as part of WUF13.

The UN-Habitat leader explained that this initiative serves as a foundation for an international platform dedicated to housing policy, facilitating the exchange of experiences among governments, experts, and other stakeholders.

She further mentioned that the outcomes of this initiative are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the roadmap for the next decade of implementing the New Urban Agenda, which is set to be outlined in July.
