Baku: The United Nations has acknowledged Azerbaijan's ongoing commitment to fostering multilateralism, international cooperation, and inclusive participation on a global scale. These comments were part of a speech delivered by the representative of UN Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres during the First General Assembly of the Global South NGO Platform.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the UN Secretary-General's message was conveyed by Igor Garafulic, the UN Resident Coordinator ad interim in Azerbaijan. The message emphasized the Global South NGO Platform's significant role as a mechanism for fostering global solidarity, dialogue, and partnership.

Furthermore, the message underscored the importance of adhering to global commitments, ensuring no one is left behind in the push for inclusive development, and enhancing resilience. It also stressed the need to strengthen effective multilateralism and cooperation, particularly in supporting the Global South.
