UN Resident Coordinator Highlights Crucial Role of Education in Sustainable Development

Baku: Sustainable development is not possible without quality education, stated Vladanka Andreeva, the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, during an event titled ‘Investing in Education for Azerbaijan’s Sustainable Development,’ APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Andreeva emphasized the significance of the 7th SDG Dialogue, which is centered on education. She noted that the Dialogue coincides with the 80th anniversary of the UN, underscoring the organization’s enduring mission to promote peace and partnership globally. The SDG Dialogues, she explained, are instrumental in fostering partnerships and providing a platform for sharing ideas. Andreeva assured that these Dialogues would continue to be a dependable forum for such exchanges.

The UN official also revealed that the next phase of the ‘Investing in Education for Azerbaijan’s Sustainable Development’ program will span from 2026 to 2030, with education remaining a primary focus.
