Baku: On March 11, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), Special Envoy to Combat Islamophobia Miguel €š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬‚¬¦¡¬‚¬Å¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬¦¡¬ngel Moratinos, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the Global Baku Forum.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions focused on the current cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and the UN Alliance of Civilizations, ongoing joint projects, and prospects for future cooperation. Both parties highlighted the significant role of their collaboration in promoting intercultural and interreligious dialogue. They also noted Azerbaijan's contributions to intercultural dialogue through the Baku Process and other international initiatives.
Minister Bayramov provided an overview of the regional situation in the post-conflict period, Azerbaijan's peace efforts, and the peace process with Armenia. Moratinos emphasized the importance of Azerbaijan's continued successful cooperation with the UN Alliance of Civilizations and expressed his support for future joint initiatives. The meeting also addressed concerns about the growing military escalation in the Middle East and exchanged views on promoting intercultural solidarity amidst global challenges, as well as opportunities for joint action in combating Islamophobia.
