BAKU: The Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) has emerged as a global leader in scientific research, with substantial advancements in scholarly output and academic influence, as highlighted by Clarivate. The university’s progress has placed it prominently on the international stage.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, recent data from Clarivate shows UNEC’s significant increase in scholarly output in high-quality international databases. This growth reflects UNEC’s commitment to academic excellence and research impact. Since 2015, the number of UNEC’s publications indexed in the “Web of Science” database has surged 226-fold, with citations to these articles increasing by 360-fold. In addition, UNEC’s success in publishing high-impact research is evident, with Q1 (top-tier) publications rising 63-fold over the last seven years.

Valentin Bogorov, a representative from Clarivate, praised UNEC’s achievements, emphasizing its unprecedented growth trajectory. Bogorov stated that no other univer
sity worldwide has attained such a level of success, establishing UNEC as a leading institution in research development and academic influence.
