Baku: President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen emphasized the strong energy partnership between the European Union and Azerbaijan during joint press statements with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, von der Leyen stated, "Energy remains one of the strongest pillars of our partnership." She further highlighted that Azerbaijan has consistently proven to be a reliable and trusted energy partner for Europe in recent years.
