Washington:US Special Envoy for South and Central Asia and Ambassador to India Sergio Gor may be appointed to a senior position in the administration, potentially as secretary of state or White House chief of staff.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Gor is being considered as a potential candidate for senior positions within US President Donald Trump's inner circle. The possibility that he could replace current Secretary of State Marco Rubio has not been ruled out.

Gor was born in Tashkent in 1986 and was originally named Sergey Gorokhovsky.
