Baku: 'The role of regional organizations like the Organization of Turkic States is increasing amid global threats and challenges,' Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov said during his speech at the Baku meeting of prime ministers of OTS member states, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Aripov emphasized the importance of deepening economic integration, noting the need to develop transport and logistics infrastructure and to increase the potential of the Middle Corridor. He suggested promoting the creation of economic cooperation mechanisms within the Organization of Turkic States, chaired by deputy prime ministers.
The prime minister also highlighted the significance of expanding industrial cooperation and partnerships in strategic sectors, indicating that the implementation of joint projects and the formation of value chains in this field are crucial. He mentioned that simplifying customs and border procedures, including the application of electronic systems, would significantly boost trade turnover.
Furthermore, Aripov underscored the importance of strengthening cooperation in green transformation and sustainable energy, stating that steps taken in this direction would create new opportunities for countries in the region.
