Turkmenistan Prioritizes Development of International Transport Corridors

Baku: Turkmenistan is placing significant emphasis on the enhancement of international transport corridors, as articulated by Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguli Atagulyyev during a recent meeting of the Heads of Government/Vice President of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Baku. Atagulyyev highlighted the country's commitment to revitalizing the ancient Silk Road in a modern context, focusing particularly on routes connecting East-West and North-South.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Atagulyyev stressed the importance of corridors such as the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor, the Lapis Lazuli Corridor, and the Caspian Sea-Black Sea and Central Asia-Middle East routes. These corridors are pivotal in fostering interregional trade and economic relations, presenting vast opportunities for enhancing these pathways, boosting trade, and expanding cooperation across various sectors of the economy.
