Tashkent: Uzbekistan produced 777,800 tons of diesel fuel from January through September 2024, marking a slight increase compared to the previous year. This growth signifies a 0.22 percent rise from the 776,100 tons produced during the same period in 2023.

According to Trend News Agency, data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency highlights the fluctuation in monthly production figures, with September 2024 witnessing a production of 72,000 tons of diesel fuel, a decrease from the 86,800 tons recorded in August 2024. Despite this dip, the overall year-to-date production reflects an upward trend.

In a related development, Saneg, Uzbekistan’s largest private oil and gas company, inaugurated a new terminal at SEG TASCO, a subsidiary located in Fergana. This initiative aligns with several state decrees aimed at boosting infrastructure and efficiency in the energy sector. The terminal project involved construction and repair works valued at over 15 billion soums ($1.1 million), significantly enhancing operational e
fficiency by reducing the loading and clearance process from one day to just one hour. This advancement ensures a continuous supply of various types of gasoline and diesel fuel, reinforcing Uzbekistan’s commitment to energy sector growth and development.
