Tashkent: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced plans to hold Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Uzbekistan and the second forum of university rectors in Azerbaijan by the end of the year. This announcement was made during a joint press statement with the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, as reported by APA's special correspondent.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Mirziyoyev emphasized the significance of cultural and humanitarian ties between the two nations, describing them as a reliable bridge of friendship. He further revealed plans to inaugurate a new building for the Pedagogical University named after Nizami Ganjavi, a project he has been planning for a long time. Originally established in 1935, the university's previous building did not meet modern standards. The completion of this new facility marks a historic milestone for both countries.

Additionally, the construction of Azerbaijan Park in New Tashkent is set to begin soon. President Mirziyoyev expressed confidence that these developments will symbolize the strong brotherhood and growing closeness of the Uzbek and Azerbaijani peoples. The schedule of mutual humanitarian exchanges is notably active, with Days of Azerbaijani Culture and the forum of university rectors planned before year's end.

A notable creative venture includes a joint feature film production focusing on Navoi's literary legacy, highlighting the collaborative spirit between the nations. President Mirziyoyev also mentioned the commitment to support public and youth relationships, fostering opportunities for communication, creativity, and innovative exchanges.

In a significant sporting collaboration, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan will co-host the youth football World Cup next year, as per FIFA's decision. President Mirziyoyev characterized this tournament as the world's second most prestigious sporting event and proposed a comprehensive state program titled 'Two Countries, One Championship' to coincide with the event.
