Uzbekistan, Türkiye to increase number of flights

The number of flights between Uzbekistan and Türkiye will increase, Trend reports.

According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport, this was discussed during the consultations held between the aviation administrations of Uzbekistan and Türkiye in Istanbul.

The meeting focused on bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation and explored prospects for its development. One of the key topics addressed was the increase in the number of flights and the opening of new routes.

Thus, during the negotiations, an agreement was reached to raise the weekly flight frequency between the countries from 58 to 72 flights. Additionally, both parties agreed to launch new air routes.

In particular, it was agreed that by 2023-2024, the weekly flights between Tashkent and Istanbul will increase from 38 to 50, and several new destinations including Istanbul-Karshi, Istanbul-Termez, Istanbul-Nukus, and Istanbul-Andijan routes will be launched.

Following the meeting, a relevant document was signed by both sides.
