Baku: 'We met with internally displaced persons who had lived in those areas for years during the construction and planning stages and learned their views,' Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan for the Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan districts, said this during the event titled 'From Urbicide to Revival: Sustainable Reconstruction, Resettlement and Development in Azerbaijan's Liberated Territories' held within the framework of WUF13, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Hajiyev emphasized that the opinions of former internally displaced persons are taken into account even before the planning process begins. He highlighted the importance of maintaining daily communication with the returning residents, ensuring that their opinions are consistently considered. Hajiyev noted that the real development of these areas would be shaped by the active participation of the people who return, as they contribute to making the areas more vibrant. The approach being applied in Soltanli and other residential areas includes working in coordination with residents and considering their needs and proposals.
