Value of Projects Implemented by Turkish Companies in Azerbaijan’s Liberated Territories Announced

Baku: The value of projects implemented by Turkish companies in the liberated territories has been announced, APA reports. Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ali Asadov, highlighted the significant economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Trkiye during the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the two nations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Azerbaijan has invested over $20 billion in Trkiye's economy, while Trkiye has invested $18 billion in Azerbaijan's economy. Prime Minister Asadov emphasized the mutual investments, noting that Azerbaijan ranks as one of the largest investors in Trkiye, with 3,000 Azerbaijani companies actively operating there. Conversely, Trkiye maintains a robust presence in Azerbaijan, with over 4,600 commercial entities backed by Turkish investment.

Furthermore, in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, around 20 Turkish companies are engaged in nearly 50 projects, collectively valued at approximately $5 billion. These projects encompass a wide range of sectors, including the construction of highways and railways, energy development, agriculture, water and land reclamation, and design. The Prime Minister underscored the favorable conditions created for Turkish companies to operate and contribute to the development of these regions.
