Baku: The visit of U.S. Vice President James David Vance to Azerbaijan has been deemed highly significant, marking the beginning of a new era in the relationship between Azerbaijan and the United States. This was stated by the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, during a parliamentary session, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press news agency, Speaker Gafarova emphasized that the Strategic Partnership Charter signed during Vice President Vance's visit outlines the long-term priorities for collaboration between the two nations. This charter establishes a foundation for enhanced cooperation across multiple sectors, including energy, economy, investment, space industry, digital infrastructure, defense, and security. The Speaker also highlighted the pivotal role of U.S. support in fostering enduring and equitable peace in the South Caucasus, which in turn opens up new avenues for economic integration and cooperation. Furthermore, the future visions of Azerbaijan and the United States for the South Caucasus region are said to be closely aligned.
