Baku: The Virtual Western Azerbaijan Encyclopedia was officially presented at an event in Baku, where its strategic importance in delivering historical truths with scientific accuracy was emphasized. Anar Gadirli, Chairman of the Strategic Communications Center and Chief Adviser of the project, highlighted the initiative's alignment with a strategic call from the President to address historical issues through a practical and scientifically rigorous framework.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Gadirli explained that the primary objective of the encyclopedia is to convey the historical realities of Western Azerbaijan beyond emotional narratives by focusing on academic objectivity. The project seeks to reinforce the factual basis of this subject on both national and international platforms. Gadirli pointed out that the expulsion of Azerbaijanis from their native territories involved more than just displacement; it also included the renaming of settlements and the destruction of cultural heritage such as historical monuments, mosques, and cemeteries.
The President's speech at the ceremony underscored the necessity of systematically studying and documenting Azerbaijani truths, particularly those related to Karabakh, on scientific grounds. This endeavor is crucial not only for restoring historical justice but also for preserving national identity. It ensures that future generations are educated with accurate historical knowledge. The project prioritizes consolidating scientific research, archival documents, and statistical data into a single center, marking it as a key direction for the initiative.
