Baku: In 2022, the size of the green economy sector was approximately USD 1.5 trillion, and it is projected that this figure will increase to over USD 4 trillion by 2030, said Huseyn Huseynov, the head of the department at the Ministry of Economy, during a conference themed “The Impact of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence on Employment, APA-Economics reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Huseynov highlighted that, based on data from the International Energy Agency, the clean energy market is expected to reach USD 1.5 trillion by 2025. He emphasized that the integration of artificial intelligence technologies is anticipated to accelerate and enhance the accuracy of carbon emissions monitoring by 50% by 2025.
“We cannot afford to fall behind on these tendencies. Strategic documents are in place, and strategic directions have been identified,” Huseynov added, underscoring the importance of keeping pace with advancements in clean energy and artificial intelligence to ensure a sustainable future.
