Baku: A trilateral meeting involving Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States Allison Hooker, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan took place in Washington, D.C., on 10 August. The discussions focused on the ongoing normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting coincided with the first anniversary of the historic Washington Summit held on 8 August 2025. The discussions centered around the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) initiative, with efforts directed toward advancing implementation and maximizing its potential for regional connectivity, economic development, and lasting peace. The meeting also addressed the delimitation process of the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The importance of continuing practical work based on previously reached agreements was emphasized a s crucial for advancing the peace process. Attention was also directed towards confidence-building measures to strengthen mutual trust and support the sustainable implementation of peace processes. The participants expressed gratitude to the United States for hosting the meeting and highlighted the necessity of converting commitments into tangible results.
