Winners of 9th “Mugham” Television Competition Announced

Lachin: The final stage of the 9th “Mugham” Television Competition was held in Lachin, and the winners were announced and awarded. Among teenagers aged 8-16, Kenan Taghizadeh secured third place, Murad Nabizadeh took the second position, and Ahad Aghayev claimed first place. In the category for young people aged 16-30, Reis Niftaliyev won third place, Narmin Mirzayeva achieved second place, and Aytaj Beybalayeva emerged as the winner.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event was attended by notable figures including Anar Alakbarov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Farah Aliyeva, Head of the Humanitarian Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, and Masim Mammadov, the President’s special representative in Lachin district. Residents and guests of the city also attended the event. A total of 12 participants qualified for the final stage of the competition, having passed 11 stages to earn their spots in the final.

The jury for this year’s competition consisted of People’s Artists Malakhanim Ayyubova, Mansum Ibrahimov, Nezaket Teymurova, Sardar Farajov, Vamiq Mammadaliyev, and Honored Cultural Worker Ilgar Fahmi. The competition was supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and organized by the Ministry of Culture and Azerbaijan State Television.

The ‘Mugham’ Television Competition has been held since 2005 with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, marking its 20th anniversary this year.
