Baku: Winners of the 'National Traditions and Holidays' drawing competition, jointly organized by AZERTAC's Children's Knowledge Portal and Uzbekistan's 'Tong Yulduzi' newspaper, were awarded on April 23. The event brought together the winners, their parents, and agency staff.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, participants first viewed photo exhibits featuring National Leader Heydar Aliyev, President Ilham Aliyev, and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. The exhibits included wartime addresses, media interviews, and visits to the liberated territories. Attendees then toured a museum displaying AZERTAC's technical equipment from different periods.
During the ceremony, AZERTAC Board Member Elshan Shahbalayev spoke about the agency's activities, noting its key role as a trusted source of information both nationally and internationally. He also discussed the Children's Knowledge Portal, established in 2013 to promote children's education and broaden their knowledge and worldview.
He emphasized that the Children's Knowledge Portal provides educational and creative content for children, along with news and cultural information. The portal is accessible in Azerbaijani and Russian through its website and social media platforms.
Speakers highlighted the importance of such initiatives in nurturing children's creativity. The winners were congratulated on behalf of the team and wished continued success.
The event concluded with the presentation of diplomas and gifts. Winners in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan were announced across two age groups (8-11 and 12-15), with the top three places awarded in each category.
