Baku: Taking a closer look at Liberia's urban policy and challenges, it is important to point out key statistical data. Out of a national population of roughly 5.8 million people, nearly 1.5 million live in the capital city of Monrovia, with youth making up 70 percent of the population, said Ezekiel Nyanfor, founder of the "Liberian Youth for Climate Action" organization, as he addressed the session on "The Role of Youth and Civil Society in Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Cities" held as part of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku. He noted that the influx of people from rural areas has put Monrovia under unprecedented pressure.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ezekiel Nyanfor praised the high-level organization of the WUF13, emphasizing that such events provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and scale the application of new technologies.
