Baku: One of the key challenges faced by cities worldwide in the modern era is rapid urbanization. As a result, cities are not always inclusive or accessible for all people, Ragd Yasser, a student at Azerbaijan's ADA University, who is participating in WUF13, told AZERTAC.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Yasser emphasized that human needs in urban planning-such as schools, hospitals, and other essential infrastructure-must be more carefully taken into account. When these needs are not addressed, people are forced to relocate from suburban areas to city centers.
He also noted that the implementation of targeted urban planning in suburban areas is crucial, as it can improve quality of life through the provision of schools, hospitals, and other essential social infrastructure.
