Bishkek: Azerbaijan is recognized as a key link in the Middle Corridor that connects Central Asia with Europe, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov stated during a press conference with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Three joint projects under the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund were inaugurated, and the implementation of eight more initiatives was launched, APA's correspondent reported from Kyrgyzstan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Zhaparov expressed satisfaction with the ongoing development of trade and economic cooperation between the two nations, noting the continued growth in bilateral trade turnover. He emphasized the importance of creating favorable conditions to expand business ties and implement joint investment projects.

Zhaparov underscored the significance of efficiently utilizing the transit potential of both countries and developing transport corridors. He highlighted Azerbaijan's crucial role as a key link in the Middle Corridor, which connects Central Asia with Europe. The discussions also covered promising cooperation areas in the energy sector and the potential for joint projects.

Additionally, Zhaparov announced the official opening of the first five-star hotel built by the Azerbaijani side on the lakeshore, marking a symbol of strong friendship between the two nations and contributing significantly to the tourism potential in the region.
