Baku: 'Today, we are discussing a painful, urgent, and often neglected issue. We have gathered here to address racism and violence against Sikhs in India. This conference is not merely an academic discussion or a symbolic event; it is a platform created for open and sincere dialogue, reflection, and the demand for accountability,' said Abbas Abbasov, Executive Director of the Baku Initiative Group (BIG), at the international conference titled 'Racism and Violence Against Sikhs and Other Minorities in India: The Reality on the Ground,' held in Baku.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Abbasov noted that the conference will examine the historical roots of discrimination against Sikhs, as well as the ongoing struggle for justice. 'Historical facts and eyewitness testimonies will present a true and objective picture of this problem,' Abbasov added.
