Baku - Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) has released its August report on operations carried out in the liberated territories, ANAMA told APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, teams discovered 551 anti-personnel mines, 221 anti-tank mines, and 27,872 pieces of unexploded military ordnance (UXO) in regions including Tartar, Aghdam, Aghdara, Lachin, Fuzuli, Shusha, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Gubadli, Jabrayil, and Zangilan. Note that 7,135.1 hectares of land were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance, significantly reducing the threat to local communities and paving the way for safer resettlement and reconstruction efforts.
