Baku: Devices received from China can detect mines in enclosed spaces. The legal status of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) was determined after the war in 2021, as stated by Chairman of ANAMA's Board Vugar Suleymanov, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during a briefing commemorating ANAMA's 28th anniversary, Suleymanov highlighted the expansion of the agency, including an increase in personnel and the acquisition of new equipment and trained dogs. A significant advancement has been the donation of two X-ray devices from China, which allow the agency to detect mines inside enclosed spaces and cabinets without the need to open them. This technology marks a first for ANAMA and is particularly beneficial for safely clearing houses and enclosed areas, addressing the challenge of detecting booby-trap mines attached to doors.
