Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has announced that Armenia will gain access to Iranian railways through Nakhchivan and to Russian railways through Azerbaijan. This statement was made during an interview with local television channels, where President Aliyev highlighted the ongoing construction work in Garabagh and East Zangezur, aimed at connecting these regions to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized that the developments in infrastructure, including green energy, agriculture, and large irrigation projects, would have been pursued regardless, but it is advantageous that these projects are being carried out peacefully. He stressed that this initiative would benefit Armenia by opening up roads between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as between Trkiye and Armenia, enhancing Armenia's economic and transport connectivity.

President Aliyev further noted that while the economic and transport benefits are clear, any political grievances should be viewed pragmatically. He insisted that if all parties involved approach the situation with pragmatism, they stand to gain positive outcomes from the cooperative infrastructure developments.
