Istanbul: “The expression ‘Zangezur corridor’ is incomprehensible and unacceptable for us,” Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated during an interview with Turkish journalists, as reported by APA’s Istanbul correspondent. The Prime Minister emphasized the perceived threat this term poses to Armenia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Pashinyan highlighted Armenia’s proactive stance on opening regional communication channels, noting, “We are the ones who most advocate the opening of regional communication routes, because in fact we are the ones who are under blockade.” He pointed out that Armenia is uniquely affected by closed borders, explaining that out of its four borders, two are completely shut. “This fact alone clearly shows how interested we are in opening regional transport routes,” Pashinyan stressed, underscoring Armenia’s interest in improving regional connectivity.
