Gubadli: Denis Afanasyev, Vice Governor and Chairman of the Government of Russia's Astrakhan Region, emphasized the importance of friendship and humanitarian assistance during a visit to Mahruzlu village in Azerbaijan's Gubadli district. He was inspecting the construction of a preschool educational institution supported by the Astrakhan regional government, as reported by APA's correspondent assigned to Gubadli.

According to Azeri-Press Nws Aency, Afanasyev highlighted the deep historical, economic, cultural, and spiritual ties between the Astrakhan Region and Azerbaijan. He explained that these connections motivated the Governor of the Astrakhan Region to propose support for the restoration of Azerbaijan's liberated territories to President Ilham Aliyev, leading to the commencement of the kindergarten's construction in Mahruzlu village.

Afanasyev described the project as a demonstration of humanitarian support, emphasizing that it is driven by friendship rather than economic interests. He expressed hope that the children attending the kindergarten would remember the Astrakhan Region's involvement and recognize the enduring friendship between the two regions.

Additionally, Afanasyev expressed gratitude to President Aliyev for approving the initiative to name the kindergarten after Russian writer Pyotr Petrovich Yershov. He noted that this gesture would help strengthen cultural and historical bonds between future generations. The project is expected to be completed by August 2026.
