Baku: On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Alexander Van der Bellen, the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, has extended his warmest congratulations to Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Van der Bellen emphasized the excellent bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Austria. He noted that opportunities for further cooperation between the two countries will continue to grow, especially as the prospects for sustainable peace and security between Azerbaijan and Armenia are nearing realization. This development is expected to benefit the people of both nations.

President Van der Bellen also expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan's support for Austria's candidature for a seat on the UN Security Council for the period 2027-2028.
