Automotive Gasoline Production Increases in Azerbaijan

Baku: In January-July of this year, the total value of production in Azerbaijan's oil products sector amounted to AZN 3,463.2 million, down 4.9% compared to January-July of the previous year, the monthly report of the State Statistical Committee said, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the reporting period, the production of fuel oil increased by 31.1%, while the production of automotive gasoline increased by 2.3%. It was noted that in the same timeframe, kerosene production in the country decreased by 20.3%, while petroleum bitumen production fell by 42.2%.

The report provides a detailed breakdown of oil products produced in Azerbaijan between January and July 2026. Automobile gasoline production reached 828.4 thousand tons, marking a 102.3% increase compared to the same period the previous year, with 53.7 thousand tons in stock. Meanwhile, white oil production was at 322.6 thousand tons, a decrease to 79.7% compared to last year, with stock levels at 25.2 thousand tons.

Diesel fuel production amounted to 1,360.2 thousand tons, equivalent to 98.1% of last year's production, with stocks at 128.4 thousand tons. Fuel oil production showed a significant increase to 74.2 thousand tons, representing 131.1% compared to the previous year, with 5.1 thousand tons in stock.

Lubricant production reached 26.3 thousand tons, marking a 120.1% increase compared to the previous year, with stocks at 0.8 thousand tons. Liquefied gases production was 107.2 thousand tons, down to 80.2% from last year, with 2.6 thousand tons in stock.

Petroleum coke, petroleum bitumen, and other groups of petroleum products collectively amounted to 447.5 thousand tons, 94% of last year's production, with 47.5 thousand tons in stock. Within this category, petroleum bitumen production was 81.7 thousand tons, representing 57.8% of last year's production, with 14.7 thousand tons in stock. Petroleum coke production reached 140.3 thousand tons, a 110% increase, with 26.2 thousand tons in stock.
