BAKU – Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has announced a significant overhaul of its AZAL Miles loyalty program, featuring expanded benefits and the integration of advanced digital technologies. This move is aimed at enhancing service quality and reinforcing AZAL’s competitive stance in the global aviation market.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the updates encompass a broad transformation of the airline’s customer service framework. The revamped AZAL Miles program now allows passengers to manage virtually every aspect of their travel experience online—from ticket purchases and booking management to mile redemption. The newly designed user account system offers increased functionality and convenience, reflecting the airline’s commitment to digital innovation.
The enhanced loyalty program introduces a range of new features and privileges, including two additional membership statuses—Silver and Elite—to complement the existing Classic, Gold, and Platinum tiers. These updates are designed to provide faster mile accumulation, easier access to exclusive offers, and a more seamless travel experience with benefits like priority check-in and boarding, free cabin upgrades, and unlimited award tickets.
Further enhancements include the ability to combine miles from family accounts, purchase additional miles and status points, and recover expired miles under specific conditions. These changes aim to provide greater flexibility and value to frequent flyers, ensuring that every journey with AZAL is as rewarding as possible.
AZAL has also extended all participants’ flight miles until August 2027 and adjusted the status points calculation period to reflect the last 20 months of travel, providing additional support to loyal customers during the ongoing updates. New participants will receive welcome bonuses, including 300 miles for their first flight under the new program, and opportunities for immediate status upgrades based on past travel activity.
