Baku: Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has issued a recommendation for passengers planning to travel to Nakhchivan during the public holidays and weekends in May 2026 to purchase their tickets in advance. This advisory comes from the Press Service of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC, as reported by APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the demand for flights on the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku route is expected to surge due to the holiday period. Scheduled operations between May 9-11 and May 27-31, 2026, include 8 regular flights per day, totaling 16 round-trip flights. To accommodate this increased demand, AZAL plans to add 5 to 10 additional flights per day, resulting in an extra 10-20 round-trip flights. The exact number of additional flights will be determined based on daily demand assessments.

AZAL emphasizes that purchasing tickets in advance not only facilitates trip planning for passengers but also aids in the efficient management of air transportation. Passengers can book their tickets through AZAL's official website, mobile application, or at AZAL ticket offices.
